{"id":261,"date":"2016-03-09T15:24:22","date_gmt":"2016-03-09T15:24:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hrundgunnsteinsdottir.com\/?p=261"},"modified":"2025-01-22T13:04:47","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T13:04:47","slug":"orbis-terrae-ora","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hrundgunnsteinsdottir.com\/is\/orbis-terrae-ora\/","title":{"rendered":"Orbis Terr\u00e6 \u2013 Ora"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Playwright<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stage.is\/productions\/orbis_terrae_-_ora\/\">Orbis Terr\u00e6-Ora<\/a> was a theatrical performance based on the play The Island Remains, written by Hrund Gunnsteinsdottir.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content clearfix\">\n<p>The piece was developed through devised theatre methods, directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Margr%C3%A9t_Vilhj%C3%A1lmsd%C3%B3ttir\">Margret Vilhjalmsdottir<\/a> and was premiered at the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.listahatid.is\/\">Reykjav\u00edk Arts Festival<\/a> in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.culturehouse.is\/information\/\">the Culture House<\/a> in Reykjav\u00edk in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Over 30 artists took part in creating Orbis Terr\u00e6-Ora,\u00a0including the performance group <a href=\"http:\/\/www.16elskendur.is\/\">16lovers<\/a>, and approximately twenty activists and representatives from non-governmental organisations in Iceland, participated in a staged refugee camps outside the Centre for Cultural Heritage, which the guests visited before entering the building turned-into-theatre.<\/p>\n<p>The Island remains is a play about 5 female friends meeting on the island after 13 years of separation due to the wars in former Yugoslavia.
