One<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n

Intuition develops over time. You reading this, means you are consciously allowing this information into your system, no matter what you choose to do with it. On a bigger scale, how you ‘immerse’ yourself in the world, throughout the day, both consciously and unconsciously,\u00a0informs your senses, perceptions,\u00a0intuitions, and ultimately\u00a0the decisions and actions\u00a0you take. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Two<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

While your\u00a0attention is a key\u00a0to your intuition and therefore\u00a0 fundamental to your\u00a0intelligence, it is an incredibly scarce resource. \u00a0That’s why Simon A. Herbert called it the ‘the bottleneck of human thought’.<\/p>\n\n

This is partly because we can\u00a0be consciously aware of only a fraction of all the data and sensory data\u00a0coming our way every moment of every day. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n

This\u00a0\u00a0is also because our limited attention is highly sought after by external market and political\u00a0forces.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

We pay attention with all our body and senses, not just the head and our very focused mind, which means being aware of what we pay attention to, requires an extra effort in today’s world of distraction and over-stimulation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Three<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

Fragmented attention is the opposite of sustained attention and presence. Fragmented attention confuses us, lowers our IQ, makes us more likely to disconnect from our inner compass and our ability to discern well informed intuition from fears, biases, wishful thinking and external influences.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

Wisdom is asking the right questions. Clarity comes with presence and heightened awareness about\u00a0how<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0to what<\/em>\u00a0we pay attention.<\/p>\n\n
