Three keys, a quote and an invitation<\/strong><\/h2>\n

One<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Nicole Kalil, host of This is Woman\u2018s Work podcast<\/a>, summarized our conversation in the following, wonderful, way:<\/p>\n

“If there’s one thing I hope that you are walking away with is that your intuition isn’t some vague woo-woo reserved only for psychics and poets. its deeply human incredibly practical and wildly underutilised tool that already lives inside of you.<\/p>\n

We just need to make space to hear it, develop the courage to trust it and patience to follow it even when path it points to doesn’t come with a-z instructions. It may not always lead to instant wins or feel good moments but in my experience it always leads to growth, confidence and alignment.\u201c\u00a0<\/p>\n

“And in a world that is constantly trying to sell you someone else’s version of who you should be, trusting yourself just might be the most rebellious, powerful and necessary thing that you can do.\u201c\u00a0<\/p>\n

“You are the only expert on you.”<\/p>\n

“So the next time your body speaks up, your body tingles or your heart says yes! before your brain catches up, listen. No one else is better qualified to live your life than you. Trust yourself, because that is woman’s work.\u201c\u00a0<\/p>\n

Two<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Beth Bonness\u2018s intro<\/a> to our episode on her Thought Echoes podcast is the following:<\/p>\n

“In this fast paced world, where everything moves quickly, and we’re on to the next thing before we are finish what we’re doing, we might stop a moment to reflect on our thoughts and how they echo through time. they linger and hang around in our subconscious waiting to surface again.”<\/p>\n

And it all starts with paying attention to what we pay attention to…\u00a0<\/p>\n

Three<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In my book, I offer 5 rituals to help you align with and hone your intuition. One of them is \u201cmind the inflow to improve the outflow\u201d, and the rationale is the following:<\/p>\n

Our intuition is informed by the environment we immerse ourselves in, consciously and unconsciously, and our interaction with it.<\/p>\n

Take a break from news media, toxic relationships, social information and distracting information. You need to empty your well in order to fill it.<\/p>\n

As long as you journal about this process, it will help you release blockages and mindfully renew your energy, the reservoirs of your mind and spirit.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Some of us believe that missing out on a day\u2019s news is one of the seven deadly sins or at least something that might embarrass us in conversations with other people, because we won\u2019t be on top of things. I know this personally, having worked as a journalist and written about global development and politics. It was part of my identity to be well informed about current events.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I therefore\u00a0resisted the idea of cutting out all news coverage; but I then reaped the benefits of trying this out, which is why I am recommending it to you.<\/p>\n

I created more space in my head and body, felt calmer, and found that my horizons expanded, and I began to notice things I hadn\u2019t noticed before. This also applies to social media scrolling, take a pause and feel what it gives you instead. Prioritize real-world experiences over digital information consumption and toxic news or relationships.<\/p>\n
