Feel free to share this free invitation with your friends, family and colleagues.
Dear InnSæi readers and friends,
I’m excited to invite you to a free 4-weeks online course I’ve prepared to meet some of the challenges we’re facing as we navigate and lead in times of turbulence, noice and unpredictability.
We start on 23. February and you can sign-up here.
Please give onwards and invite those you think could benefit from taking it and would appreciate to learn directly with me for free.
Here is the course website where you can read more, share it and secure your spot. This free online-course with me runs from 23. February to 22. March.
A bit of background
I started this year asking emerging (25-40 years old) and senior leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs, what they are in most need of when it comes to clarity and ability to navigate uncertainty. I sent out a survey both to you, my subscribers, and online passers-by and interviewed a small group from those who answered the survey, to gain a deeper understanding of the leadership challenges they are facing.
Turns out, the results from my research echo what we read in recent flagship leadership reports, some of whom I mentioned in the recent addition of this newsletter.
The challenges Leaders are facing
“Amongst it all I can find myself spinning.” (survey respondent)
Below are some of the key findings that inform the content and approach of the free 4-weeks course I am inviting you and your friends+colleagues to attend.
I am also sharing this with you as a principle: In everything I do, I think of ways we can learn together, and you with me, so that we can all grow and become better leaders fit for our times through the InnSæi Practice:
- Overwhelm and Uncertainty: Many responses described feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in decision fatigue, and struggling with too much uncertainty, leading to feeling like they are “spinning,” “fire fighting,” or experiencing “pure paralysis”.
- Lack of Focus and Direction: Respondents often reported a lack of clarity, fuzzy focus, inability to narrow down key decision elements, difficulty prioritising, and struggling to see the “forest for the trees”.
- Self-Doubt and Fear of Failure: Several individuals expressed self-doubt, fear of failure, fear of making the wrong choices, or being too optimistic and courageous, which results in procrastination and constantly restarting the search for clarity.
- Information Overload and External Noise: The difficulty in decision-making is attributed to external noise, an overwhelming amount of data, and internal struggles like old “ghosts” or battling oneself in “rabbit holes” of time-wasting.
- Intuition and Judgment: Some respondents noted they struggle to find, connect with and follow their intuition and one said it was like “following breadcrumbs in the forrest”.
The clear shift they’d like to see in 30-90 days
- Self-Trust and Confidence: A key desire is to trust their own intuition and judgment, act with confidence, make informed decisions, and believe in their capabilities.
- Direction and Focus: Many seek clear direction, crystallizing their professional priorities and next career steps, defining a ‘North Star’ vision, and maintaining focus with less noise from external opinions or fears.
- Boundary Setting and Saying No: A common need is to establish healthy boundaries, particularly by being able to say “no” and finding a boundary balance.
- Inner Calm and Purpose: Respondents want more calm, less mental noise, to regain joy and vitality, and to feel secure and assured that their actions align with their purpose.
- Specific Professional/Business Goals: Goals include developing a promotional strategy, having clarity on a new offering, motivating others effectively in uncertain times, and getting a job or finishing a book.
