My book on InnSæi is out!

Help me spread the word…

Hi there,

I am super happy to share with you that my book, InnSæi: heal, revive and reset with the Icelandic art of intuition (Lagom, Bonnier books UK) is out this week!

InnSæi and intuition has been a part of my personal and professional journey for over 20 years (more here and here). I have been working on this book over the last three years, have been wanting to write it for much longer, but there could not have been a better timing for this book to come out than right now!

Given our immense power in today’s world to enhance or suppress life on Earth, I believe that connecting deeply with InnSæi will not only help us innovate more sustainably and make better decisions, it will also enable us to see deeper valleys and brigther colours and bring a sense of awe and wonder back into our lives.

I firmly belief that the change we need starts within ourselves. Around the world, we face a chronic neglect of our inner world and the lack of understanding of how everything is interconnected gets reflected in the challenges we are now facing.

The book offers practical tools, exercises and ways to harness more of our intelligence and shift the centre of gravity in how we imagine, lead and connect with ourselves, other people and planet Earth.

I am also excited to share with you that the book will be translated into German, Spanish, Arabic, Hungarian, Turkish, Polish, Portuguese and Icelandic. Hopefully other languages will follow, let me know if you have any advice or contacts we should explore.

I hope you read it, enjoy it and share it on social media and talk about it at home, at work, with friends and family. I would love to hear any questions you have and your thoughts on how InnSæi can or has already made a difference to your life, people’s lives and the world we live in. Please drop a comment below or send me a line on hrund.gunnsteinsdottir@gmail.com.

1. Reviews about the book InnSæi

A beautiful invitation to reconnect with the web of life that flows within and between every one of us.

Kate Raworth, economist and author of Doughnut Economics

The challenges we face in the wider world reflect a chronic neglect of our inner world and the understanding of how everything is interconnected. Profound and practical, deftly observed and beautifully written, this is a guidebook for growth and happiness.

Lindsay Levin, Founder Leaders Quest, The Blue Dot Collective, Head Ted Countdown

Hrund’s book is truly a gift to the world. I am grateful to her for writing it. It’s a practical guide on how to become your best self and lead with purpose and authenticity in an increasingly disorderly world.

Emma Sky, Director Yale’s International Leadership Center

Beautifully written, the book perfectly captures how we need to rediscover the world around us and deepen our sense of belonging and connection to planet earth through simple but regular practices. A great read.

Tom Rivett-Carnac, Founding Partner Global Optimism, Co-Author The Future We Chose.

One could argue the world has more knowledge than ever before, but that has nothing to do with wisdom as evidenced by the present. InnSæi, the Icelandic word for intuition, provides a compass, grounding, and framework that each human being needs and is capable of without exception.

Dr Anjhula Mya Singh Bais, Chair, International Board, Amnesty International, International Psychology, Trauma Specialist

InnSæi is both poetic and practical. A treasure trove of insights, illuminations and exercises that will help you think, feel and be differently.

This book is a book for our times. For everyone and anyone who hasn’t turned to stone.

Gemma Mortensen, co-creator New Constellations

Quite simply, InnSaei is a masterpiece. With her unique Icelandic roots and global perspective, Hrund invites everyone to better understand their potential – to see, to heal, to connect, and to lead – and in the process, to shape a brighter tomorrow for all. InnSæi is the book – and the concept – that today’s world is yearning for.

April Rinne, Global Futurist, Speaker & Best-selling author of Flux: 8 Supwerpowers for Thriving in constant Change.

As you navigate the space between what you know and what you feel, Innsæi gently guides you toward a fearless embrace of the present moment. This book is full of actionable wisdom: the earlier you read it, the longer it will be a source of warmth and inspiration that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Andrea Bandelli, former executive director of The Science Gallery International and Osher Fellow

This book is meaningful, timely and has a message that must be told. In a world of increasing uncertainty, the intelligence of your intuition and inner scorecard is found in your own body. If matters of the human spirit have piqued your interest, this book sheds light on how and why you already have most of these answers.

Satish Selvanathan, Executive Director, Goodhope Holdings, Co-Founder and Chair Lanka Environment Fund

2. Why this book?

InnSæi is a love letter, an ode to the magnificent, complex, largely incomprehensible but fascinating world that exists within us all, our InnSæi, (pronounced In-Sy-Eh) – the Icelandic word for intuition and implies ‘the sea within’, ‘to see within’ and ‘to see from the inside out’.

The book draws on a blend of ancient wisdom, natural science, neuroscience, physics, psychology and philosophy, as well as interviews with some of today‘s leading thinkers, coaches, experts, artists, explorers and scientists. You will find practical tools and exercises designed to help you harness your intuition, deepen your sense of belonging and broaden your sense of intelligence.

I belief InnSæi is a powerful and poetic reframing of our greater potential to create flourishing futures for people and the planet.

I look forward to any thoughts, questions or ideas you may have after reading the book. Feel free to tag me in your social media posts for more engagement and meaningful conversations about InnSæi and the role of intuition in the modern world.

3. A few pictures of the book and quotes from the book to share.

You can watch the live stream from our book launch event where we talk about the book and the art of intuition – at The Conduit London, at 6-7.15 pm UK time, on 14. March.

The conversation will be hosted by Lindsay Levin, a long-time social entrepreneur and founder of Leaders’ Quest, TED’s global climate initiative TED Countdown, and most recently the Blue Dot Collective and we will be joined by musician, filmmaker and nature activist Louis VI.

With gratitude and respect,

Hrund
